It is April, and Spring is here. The weather is warming up, the grass is growing, and projects are starting to pile up around the house. My portfolio is currently enjoying an all time high, and we are continuing our search for a rental property. I have been keeping busy with both home and the cabin, but there has been time for some fun and relaxation. Here is a quick spring update.
Record High
With the record highs in the markets comes a record high with my portfolio. As of this writing my portfolio is nearing the $800,000 mark. That’s an increase of over $100,000 from one year ago and up close to $40,000 since the start of 2021. No magic here. Just regularly investing month after month into my accounts. I’ve paid off all debt except my mortgage and have increased some of my contributions. Remember that slow and steady wins the race when it comes to saving and investing.
Rental Property Search
We recently made another offer on a property, but it was rejected. The property needed a lot of work, so we made a low offer. It’s not surprising that the offer wasn’t accepted with how hot the housing market is right now. So, the search continues.
Wrapping Up
Spring is shaping up to be busy so far. I have a long list of projects to complete before we get into summer, but I can’t complain. I have no debt, and my portfolio is at a record high. Life is good.
